Smore is a very interesting website where you can create online folders. I've created this one as an example to my pre-intermediate students, so that they can do a writing about a building using smore. Check it out!

Directions - Comic strips

I created this comic strip as an example and showed my students:

Then I asked them to create a comic strip at home and send them to me via Edmodo.

This idea came after learning how to use comic strips in the classroom with teacher Ana Maria Menezes at Cultura Inglesa Uberlândia.

 This was the result:

This was Gabriel's comic strip:

Here is Isabela's:

Gabriela's:

Julia M.'s story:

Carol's:

Julia C.'s:

Vinicius' story:

Matheus' comic strip:

Vitor's:

Hugo's:

Marcelo created two different strips:

Here's what Lucas created:

Isadora missed the class, as she didn't know which website we were using she used another one she was already familiar with (and she did a very good job):

The students have all done an incredible job, haven't they? They are taking the Teens 3 course at Cultura Inglesa Uberlãndia.

This first video points out the positive aspects in 21st century students. It highlights how there is always another person or programme behind a production and the importance of integrating what students learn at home with what they use in the classroom.  Another important aspect pointed out is knowing when to bring technology in and when to put it away. It concludes by saying that eventhough students have a lot of new tools and knowledge, educators still play an important role; as these kids need guidance on how to use their skills efectively in today's society.

It is an interesting video and it is not  very long or boring. Hope you enjoy it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0xa98cy-Rw&feature=related

The second video I would like to share is not about technology itself, but it demonstrates in a very visual way how sharing ideas is important for new ideas to be developed. As sharing is something that the internet has brought to a much higher level, I believe this video is not so far from the technology topic.

This man has many videos on youtube, I have already watched a few and I must say they are always worth it.
